3rd Summer School on the Chinese Economy 5-7 July 2010 CERDI - Clermont-Ferrand - France

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
This Summer School is intended for PhD students. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss
their own research project with leading researchers in their field. Doctoral students will present
their work to the other summer school participants, with a senior economist acting as a
discussant. Both doctoral students and senior researchers are expected to participate in every
session.
We encourage PhD students to submit either a draft paper or a detailed abstract describing the
work-in-progress they intend to present. Attendants will benefit from the overall discussion.
Working language: English.
Participants are asked to stay for the entire duration of the Summer School.

A completed application form (attached) should be submitted together with a CV, a draft or completed paper and an academic reference letter, to summerschool2010@cerdi.org no later than 15 May 2010.
Accommodation is organized and directly paid by CERDI. We will not refund for rooms booked without authorization.
Travel costs will not be covered by the Summer School
Admissions decision will be announced by June 1st 2010. All applicants will be informed by email about the results.
